February 2008 Wamco hospitality suite

It was Fat Tuesday and Wamco was prepared. Celebrating in traditional Mardi Gras style, Wamco hosted its semiannual Hospitality Night at the ALI Advanced Seminar at the Los Angeles Marriott. When the sun went down, there was no stopping the flow of food, drinks and conversation. A special congratulations goes to "Mr. Navy Himself" Marty Matlingly and our own Mr. Pete Frazier for their spectacular win at the pool tournament. And we can’t forget Duane “Boom Boom” Stewart for his numerous Texas Hold Em victories. See you in August!

The Holidays (Wamco Style)

Dashing through the office, in a one-reindeer open sleigh, o’er the carpet we go, laughing all the way. Bells on Phillips ring, making spirits bright, what fun it is to work at Wamco all the days.

Happy Holidays from Wamco!!

Happy Halloween

Thrice the brinded cat hath mew'd.
Thrice and once, the hedge-pig whin'd.
—'tis time! 'tis time!

In the poison'd entrails throw.—
Days and nights has thirty-one;
Eye of newt, and toe of frog,
Wool of bat, and tongue of dog,
For a charm of powerful trouble,
Like a hell-broth boil and bubble.

Double, double toil and trouble;
Fire burn, and caldron bubble.

Make the gruel thick and slab:
Cool it with a baboon's blood,
Then the food is set to feast,
Round about the table go
—'tis time! 'tis time!

for our annual Halloween feast!

Witches, warlocks
Ghouls and ghosts

—'tis time! 'tis time!

to have some fun!

When the goblins come out to play,
and things go bump in the night,
Wamco is ready to do their part.

Skeletons abounded. Coffins appeared. The atmosphere became eerie. The competition was fierce. It all came down to one vote.

After a little voodoo and a little of the old black magic, Lauren & Stacy won first prize in the office decorating contest. Congratulations! The spine-chilling lobby was enough to make anyone take flight.

Second prize went to Dwayne for the bloodcurdling warehouse and third prize was taken by Laurie & Teri for their macabre transformation of the "cave".

Wamco awarded Boeing C-17 Supplier Appreciation plaque

Way to go Wamco! Boeing selected Wamco as supplier of the month based on the outstanding service we provide to ensure the on-time delivery of components.

Not only did Boeing honor us with the C-17 Supplier Appreciation plaque, they treated the entire company to a luncheon, showed some outstanding videos and brought each of us souvenirs from the C-17 program.

Let’s see if we can do it again next year.

Wamco picture day/lawn bowling

All Wamco employees were present for the 2006 holiday picture at the beach. The highlight of the morning was Tom being able to join us in the picture. Tom, you will always be remembered.

After the picture, we all enjoyed an afternoon of food, drink and lawn bowling in the warm California sun.
