Outside Sales - Account Manager

Responsibilities:
- Identify both new and ongoing business opportunities to generate profitable growth for the Lighting Division
- Develop target lists, construct well organized business plans, and recommend product and business strategy to achieve financial objectives
- Establish and cultivate successful customer relationships
- Develop competitive data base for products and territory
- Become the primary contact point for each customer within the territory
- Visit customers regularly
- Identify and attend important trade shows
- Create product demonstrations and presentations including features, benefits, competitive advantages, etc…
- Forecast anticipated sales for dedicated accounts and participate in strategic planning
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years experience in outside sales and territory management
- Proven ability to grow business
- Knowledge of lighting (LED and other) is desirable
- Competency in all phases of the sales process
- Must be organized, self-motivated, and possess strong time management skills
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Able to travel up to 50% of the time within the territory
- Good communication skills both internally and externally
- Strong work ethic
- Undergraduate degree a big plus
- Relationships with specifiers a big plus
