Outside Sales - Account Manager

Responsibilities:

  • Identify both new and ongoing business opportunities to generate profitable growth for the Lighting Division
  • Develop target lists, construct well organized business plans, and recommend product and business strategy to achieve financial objectives
  • Establish and cultivate successful customer relationships
  • Develop competitive data base for products and territory
  • Become the primary contact point for each customer within the territory
  • Visit customers regularly
  • Identify and attend important trade shows
  • Create product demonstrations and presentations including features, benefits, competitive advantages, etc…
  • Forecast anticipated sales for dedicated accounts and participate in strategic planning

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in outside sales and territory management
  • Proven ability to grow business
  • Knowledge of lighting (LED and other) is desirable
  • Competency in all phases of the sales process
  • Must be organized, self-motivated, and possess strong time management skills
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Able to travel up to 50% of the time within the territory
  • Good communication skills both internally and externally
  • Strong work ethic
  • Undergraduate degree a big plus
  • Relationships with specifiers a big plus
